Allegiance is a difficult game to learn how to play. It has a steep learning curve that does take a bit of time while you feel "clueless" and are learning how the game is played. But once you understand it, Allegiance is an amazing game and can be an exhilerating experience.

This is a guide to the many resources available to you and the suggested order to approach them.

Basic

  • Training Missions
The in-game training missions teach you the basics of the game - how to move your craft, select weapons, cloak, etc.
These servers have been setup for you to practice with other newbs without fear of veterans interfering.
The single quickest way to scale the learning curve is to read through these Crash Courses from the Allegiance Academy.
This is a forum driven 8-week training programme aimed at churning out intermediate skill level players.

Intermediate

The Allegiance Academy is constantly updated and contains a treasure trove of information, including Advanced Crash Courses.
  • F1 Help Menu
The in-game Help Menu was last updated on (insert date) by AEM, and contains most of the information from the academy, albeit in an abridged form, and many other useful articles.
TeamSpeak is a programme that players with microphones use to talk with each other. Listening to Veterans discuss strategies and being able to ask them questions is invaluable.

TEK is a reference programme which can be used to look up scan ranges, damage charts, and much more.
