The fourth game in the Zone Games series took place on 3rd November 2007
Factions: Bios vs Gigacorp vs Belters vs Dreghklar Empire
This was the first Zone Game in which all four sides would be opposing each other for the ultimate victory. It was reported that although BIOS forces managed to thoroughly thrash Belters and GigaCorp, it was eventually defeated after an exhausting struggle against the Dreghklar.
Date: 1NOV2157/File: 00205- Gigacorp claims Belter rocks! Mayhem ensues!

If I said that things were hectic in the outer system, I'd be lying. It would be a gross underrepresentation of the facts.
First, Gigacorp and some Belters made an alliance against the new aliens... I think they're calling them the 'Dregklagar' or something like that. I don't know. I'll just use 'Dreg.' They sent these lizards packing, and all seemed well.
Then a Gigacorp scout wandered where it really had no right to be, in other words, in the middle of the Belter controlled area. (Personally, I think they were spying. Wouldn't surprise me one bit.). It discovered a new aleph, apparently to a system full of He3. Gigacorp HQ, after a little deliberation, decided to claim it. They sent a small fleet into the aleph before anyone could react.
Bright move. Immediately afterwards, the Belters announced the dissolution of their alliance, and sent some of their ships through after the Gigacorp ones. Then Gigacorp sent more, so the Belters responded in kind.... Soon enough, both task forces went through. Battle quickly ensued.
Now we are getting reports that there are Dreg forces in the area around the new aleph. Brilliant, guys, Brilliant. You're so occupied with padding your own pockets with this He3 that you left your pants down. No rear guard at all!
Anyway, the Dreg forces seem to have gone through the aleph, apparently joining the fray. Who knows what that'll do.
And, to top it all off, some shady sensor signatures showed up near the aleph then disappeared. It is assumed that they went through as well. There wasn't enough of a contact to know what they were, but my bet's on the Bios. The Iron Coalition's recently had a kick in the nads, and the Rix are too busy fortifying their gains to do anything, really. We haven't heard from the Bios, not at all surprising, since the latest thrashing they gave the Coalition (See file 151).
We've not had contact through the aleph for quite some time now. We should see soon enough what is happening, and we'll keep you posted.
Gabriel out.
>>Ceres_Alpha: 44623:821: Oh, this'll be fun. Keep your eyes peeled, boys. We may have some strays coming in.
>>Cosmic_Debris: 44727:420: Wonder if there'll be any of the new Battleship class ships... May the Raven watch over us if there are.
>>Steel_Warrior: 44024:703: Finally, a decent sized brawl at last! This'll be good for business.
>>RCaius: [node withheld]: We might have allied once, but Giga's still got no right coming into our territory. We'll show them all what-for.
Date: 4NOV2157/File: 00206- Dreghklar Empire Defeats Bios, Giga, Belters
Report filed by: "Nick_H"
What is known of the extraterrestrials that are now known as the Dreghklar? A few weeks ago, a combined Belter and Gigacorp fleet destroyed a Dreg fleet. From Giga's released and broadcast autopsies we know the creatures can be classified as reptilian humanoids. From Belter salvage reports we know that Empire technology is quite similar to our own although a little faster, more agile, and stealthier. (We also know that salvaged Empire missiles sell well, as they track better and have bigger payloads.) Finally Dreg broadcasts have made it clear that their objective is the "reclamation of Earth". But now we know something more, the Dreg can hold their own against human commanders and they can win.
This past week after Gigacorp scouts claimed a piece of Belter space, Empire and Bios forces entered the area as well resulting in a four-way battle. The Empire came out on top. Yes, this does mean they defeated the Bios. Rumor says that alephs leading to the conflict were destabilized preventing any reinforcements from entering. Whether this is the result of a new Bios or Dreg device, or a natural phenomena is unknown at this time.
As the human factions fought, the Dreghklar bid their time and used a previously unseen asset: a refinery that sat atop a Helium3 asteroid. While the Bios eliminated the other human factions, the Dreg built these refineries and developed an overwhelming economic advantage which provided the Empire with the muscle to defeat the Bios.
If the Empire can overpower the Bios, who hold the best record by far of any of the factions, what does this bode for the rest of humanity?
Keep on your toes. As always, we'll keep you posted.
