===Belters===
For information about factions available on other cores and those yet to be released consult the Allegwiki article [[Factions]].
#Belter ships have no shields but have extra hull to compensate.
#Belter ships have a lot of mass making them feel very sluggish.
#All non-capital class ships can mount a booster.
#Belters is a very strong bombing faction. Expect to be nanning a lot if you fly them.
#All belter small class ships can mount a [[nan]], except the basic interceptor. See point #4.
#Belters can use any technology they secure, regardless of what techbases they've built.
#Costs for stations and researching ships is lower but the cost of researching equipment is higher.
#Due to this Belters will often multi-tech (invest in more than one branch of the tech tree at a time).
#They're slow at researching meaning it may take a while to get advanced tech.
#They can obtain omni-fighters, costing $500 each, which can mount any small-class ship's equipment.

===Bios===
#Bios have the best signature and the best scan range of any faction.
#All Bios ships can carry a Heavy Cloaking Device, making them even stealthier.
#The heavy cloak weighs a lot and removing it from your ship can improve handling.
#Bios have the longest research time (10 minutes) meaning that you will struggle during the first part of the game.
#On the other hand, their bases are upgraded by default, meaning you can start researching high level technology immediately.
#Due to their 10 minute research time it is essential that the initial cons build successfully.
#Bios fighters can carry prox mines making them a very versatile starting ship.
#Combining hvy clk and a lot of prox on a fighter makes it handle worse than a belter one.
#Bios teams often research gunships immediately. If this is the case you should escort them with a nan, especially if you haven't got interceptors or enhanced fighters yet.
# Bios lifepods can ripcord meaning they can often get home far faster than other factions.

===Dreghklar Empire===
#Dreg are the fastest faction.
