7 Training Missions were released by MS with the original game. The 7th mission was removed since it was buggy, and has since been replaced by a nanning mission in FAZ R4.

A brief overview of the missions is given below.

#1 - The Hanger

Importance for rookies: 2/5

  • A hands-off introduction to the basic menu system that Allegiance uses.
  • Pilots mostly use F4 (Ship Loadout), F3 (Command View), F8 (Transfer Station) and F2 (Launch ship).
  • Commanders mostly use F3 (Command View), F5 (Manage Investements) and F6 (Manage Team).
  • New players will want to familiarise themselves with F1 (Help menu).

#2 - Communication and Flight

Importance for rookies: 3/5

  • A one-on-one session with an AI tutor who teaches you some of the basics:
  • How to talk to other players, including Private Messages and sending chats to "All".
  • How to make sense of your HUD
  • How to look around and move your ship.

#3 - Basic Combat

Importance for rookies: 3/5

  • A one-on-one session with an AI tutor, where you get to blow up some immobile space debris.
  • How to fire your guns, select weapons, fire missiles, target enemies, etc.

#4 - Intermediate Combat

Importance for rookies: 3/5

  • You get to fly to an adjacent sector, kill some enemy miners, then defend a friendly constructor.
  • How to recognise alephs, cloak, and etc.

#5 - Basic Command

Importance for rookies: 1/5

  • This mission puts you in the Command seat, and teaches you the basics of running a team.
  • How to make sense of the F3 Command view.
  • How to invest in Miners and order them around.

#6 - Combat Arena

Importance for rookies: 4/5

  • A mission where you fight continous waves of enemys until you die.
  • The first wave of enemy drones attack the Miners solely. You shouldn't feel the least bit confident in your abilities until you can defeat drones which are attacking you.
  • These drones move in straight lines, don't use missiles, and never use boosters. Pretty dumb AI, eh? If you have difficulty defeating them imagine how you will go against a human player!

#7 - Nanning

Importance for rookies: 5/5

  • In this mission you will be asked to repair a damaged station, defend a miner that is under attack, then defend a bomber as it attacks an enemy base.
  • This Mission was created by the community and represents scenarios that you will encounter in every game of Allegiance that you play. Mastery of this mission is essential to becoming a useful member to your team.
